I began practicing yoga in 2006 to improve my overall health and to balance and strengthen my marathon training. I was a fair weather yogi until fall 2011 when I found and fell in love with Baptiste style yoga. This was the first yoga practice I was able to connect to, physically and spiritually. Once I incorporated yoga into my regular training program I was able to qualify for the Boston Marathon which I ran and finished in 2013.
The empowering practice, community and internal growth inspired me to share the power of vinyasa yoga by teaching, which led me to complete Level One training with Baron Baptiste in August 2012 and Level Two in May 2013. I continue to cultivate my growth as a student and teacher through participating and assisting programs such as SLPY’s Yoga Teacher Training, Baptiste programs, Wanderlust, etc.
Yoga has taught me to have compassion for myself and others, courage to live my life powerfully and authentically, and the importance of connection of mind body and soul. I am excited to broaden and share my passion for the practice with my students. Outside of the studio I enjoy running, cycling, hiking and cooking.
